(Here is a gallery of other pictures of PIXIE)

Pixiesticks.org was fully formed on August 6th, 2001 as a website to celebrate
but also promote how wonderful it can be to be young and gay.  In a
world that gives such a hard time to those that are not recognized as adults,
I feel that it is very important there is a place where they can identify
with someone who is close to their situation and see how things are for someone
who may be just like them.  While I can’t say I am a specialist of any
kind, or that my situations can match everyone’s, I totally believe that
seeing someone “live the life” as positively I try to do, they can feel thrilled
about themselves and their life!

The anniversary of pixiesticks.org is celebrated on March 11th, 2001 because
that is when I originally created the concept. The site was previously just
a piece of a previous website that reviewed movies called Queer and
The Fat Guy. Nicknamed Queerdom, it was where I could show off my gay
colors if you will and hopefully not only entertain but perhaps educate the
uninitiated. It was so much fun and when the rest of the website was desolved
I wanted to keep it. But it wasn’t enough to just transport it to its own
domain. I felt like I needed to make it better.

Twice pixiesticks.org has lost their webhosting.  The first time in
2003.  For the most part all the blog archives were saved, but all images
were lost. The second time was December 13th, 2007.   I’ve taken the
oppertunity this time to instead of patch things back together, to instead
somewhat start over fresh.  The blog page was restored.  The yaoi
page was temporarily restarted with their archives not reposted.  Other
pages such as the movie reviews have already been uploaded, while the works
page will return at a later date.

On March 11th, 2008, in the midst of celebrating the site’s 7 Year Anniversary,
the webmaster opened up a brand new companion site called shotalicious.org.
It was there where the yaoi and with even more enthusiasm shota was
given their own home to enjoy and expand.  Pixiesticks.org discontinued
hosting yaoi and shota at that time and instead pointed those links to the
fledgling website also owned and webmastered by PIXIE!

On November 21st, 2009 citing that the side project of shotalicious had become
alot like a full fledged job, the site was closed. There was also the desire to
move on from the genre (in which shota has become almost as mainstream as yaoi) and focus back on the original site as well as the novels.

On February 1st, 2010 because Google was terminating support for FTP, the entire engine that makes the site run was moved over to WordPress. It was the beginning of a new era of webmastering for PIXIE as he was now confronted head on with the fact that his skills were antiquated. Still, the Frankenstein-like design of the site lingers as he struggles with newfangled technology like CS Style sheets.
